DocBook Publishers is a customization (largely a subset) of DocBook designed specifically for non-technical publishing.

The current version is DocBook Publishers 5.2, defined with RELAX NG and Schematron

Publishers 1.0, a customization of DocBook 5.0 defined RELAX NG and Schematron. It also included a non-normative XML Schema and DTD.
